PUR HAIR stands for professional hair cosmetics that adapt to your salon - not the other way around. Developed from over 40 years of hairdressing experience. Professional products that work in everyday life, pay off, and offer you economic flexibility.

It all started in the hairdresser's chair and with a bold decision
In 1979, at just 21 years old, Reinhold Hofmann opened his first hair salon in Nuremberg.
Anyone who knows Reinhold knows...
For him, simply doing something "quite well" was never enough. He wanted to understand why some products truly work in the daily salon routine, while others promise a lot but deliver little.
💇♀️ Day after day, he stood behind the chair, listened to clients, and meticulously observed the results. He saw what color treatments, heat, and daily styling did to hair.
💡 And he learned what hairdressers truly need: reliable products, professional results, and quality that convinces not just at first glance.
PUR HAIR was born out of his experience
For many years, Reinhold worked with well-known hair care brands. But at some point, something became clear to him.
"If he couldn't find the ingredients he truly believed in in any product, he had to develop them himself."
🧴 Thus, in 2003, the idea for PUR HAIR was born.
💇♀️ Not at the desk of a large cosmetics corporation, but from real daily salon life.
💬 From conversations with female and male customers and fellow hairdressers. And from the conviction that professional hair cosmetics can be effective, responsible, and economical at the same time.
A hair care line that goes deeper
🧬 Reinhold wanted to develop a hair care product that not only superficially beautifies hair but also restores what is lost due to bleaching, coloring, heat, and daily stress.
🧪 Therefore, an intensive development phase began in the early 2000s. Together with laboratories and scientists in the USA, Reinhold sought a combination of natural efficacy and modern research.
🌿 For years, testing, discarding, and further development took place. After 8 years of research, the core of our Organic line, the DECA-AMINO-PLEX, was finally created.
The organic DECA-AMINO-PLEX
🧱 DECA-AMINO-PLEX is an active complex of 10 plant-based amino acids, supplemented with selected plant extracts, oils, vitamins, and minerals.
Why Amino Acids?
Because amino acids are among the basic building blocks of hair structure.
