Our Story
PUR HAIR colour was born from real salon experience. Reinhold Hofmann opened his first salon in Nuremberg in 1979 and over the years developed a deep understanding of what hairdressers really need in their daily work: reliable results, simple systems, and high quality at fair prices. In 2008, this led to the creation of the PUR HAIR colour series and thus the beginning of the PUR HAIR story: developed by a hairdresser for hairdressers.

PUR HAIR colour combines modern color technology with selected, nature-inspired ingredients. Many shades contain plant extracts such as rice, mallow, and yarrow, while selected formulas also work with plant-based proteins, soy isoflavones, and amino acids. We only sell our hair dyes to registered hairdressing businesses.
How long is the processing time?
The processing time is at least 45 minutes (without heat). For lighter shades, we recommend a processing time of 45-60 minutes.
Are PUR HAIR colour colours vegan?
Yes, all our PUR HAIR color dyes are formulated to be vegan-friendly.
What is the mixing ratio?
For a standard permanent color, the mixing ratio is 1:1 with one of our PUR HAIR Developers. For reliable gray hair coverage, we recommend a 2:1 mixture.
